An ode to God

All things bright and beautiful
All creatures great and small,
All things and wise and wonderful
The good lord made them all
I was down with a bad case of viral a few days back and therefore, in between bouts of sleeping and resting and generally recuperating I had a lot of time for introspection and contemplation. For the little things in life. I appreciated the sweet song of a bird. The incredible light of the sun and the rumbling sound of thunder.
Scientists might explain away most of it. But the awe you feel is humbling really. You have to bow to the Creator. Every speck of every thing belonging to nature is exquisitely unique. Figure this..…in a world of billions of people no two people have the same set of fingerprints. Can you fathom God’s genius? And let’s mention here that every person has at least seven doubles somewhere in this world. How many are you likely to meet? None. And if you are lucky, one. (And that’s because he/she is your twin.) Point to ponder….lol.
And then there is the very vastness of our planet. In one lifetime you can’t see the whole world. The basic stuff yes, but not the entire world. Even if you started travelling from the day you were born and lived to be a hundred, you would still not be able to see every corner of it. There would still be a beautiful meadow you missed or a snow covered peak you cannot access.
